As a yoga teacher, Freda Sanani's main interest is in giving. She genuinely cares for her clients and their well-being, both physical and emotional, and specializes in guiding clients to clarify and achieve their personal goals. Freda encourages her clients to set goals that are challenging, but never overwhelming. She believes yoga not only nurtures both the body and the spirit with its movement, but also offers growth opportunity in the physical, spiritual, and emotional realms.
Practicing yoga for twenty years, Freda has studied with the best of the best. She was originally certified in Samyama yoga and meditation by Master Yogicharia Louis Gonlag. Continuing her journey, Freda became certified in Yoga Tune Up by founder Jill Miller, who has been recognized for her innovative work by different Yoga Magazines, Breathe Magazine, Yogi Times, NPR, the Los Angeles Times, and Good Morning America. Jill Miller's new technique is now both nationally and internationally renown.
Freda finds that Yoga Tune Up, due to its combination of yoga, calisthenics, corrective exercise, and body therapy, not only increases safety and specificity of movement for all her clients, but also proves especially beneficial for those who, due to various reasons including age, injury, or physical disability, cannot practice the strenuous poses of other yoga forms. YTU also enhances the practice of those who already engage in other types of yoga. Regardless of their current level, YTU helps students take their practice to a safer and more in-depth place. Its benefits include repairing physical injury, increasing strength and flexibility, relieving stress, and elevating the body's immune system.
In addition to her work as a private instructor, Freda currently teaches yoga to the patients at the North Valley Cancer Center in Los Angeles. Freda's students emerge from class feeling lighter and freer than they've ever felt before, marveling that with Freda, the pain in their bodies diminishes, or even disappears.
Come experience a better you, with Freda.

Yoga Offers many benefits to improve physical and mental strength and flexibility.
Yoga Tune Up (YTU) could be the tool that you need to create awareness and strength as a foundation for your Yoga practice.
Yoga Tune Up was created by Jill Miller, a pioneer in the course of yoga's evolution. www.yogatuneup.com
** Yoga Tune Up is a unique style that is inspired by different Yoga poses combined with physical therapy. Focused on the anatomy of the body and functions of different muscles, it enhances strength, mobility and flexibility all over the body. In turn it helps yoga students understand the yoga postures better and refine their practice when doing “Yoga”. Yoga Tune Up is designed to protect you from injuries that may occur in regular yoga practice as well as other forms of physical discipline. Each YTU pose is geared to prepare the body for specific yoga pose or poses. It also helps you recognize the limitations about your body type in a supportive manner and assists you in working according to your body's specifications.
YTU is an amazing skill for anyone to acquire and use for a healthy lifestyle. I am proud to be one of many trained by Jill Miller and be able to offer an in-depth teaching to my students.
Meditation: Samyama YogaSamyama ("constraint"): the combined practice of concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and ecstasy (samadhi) in regard to the same object. With daily practice create & maintain personal meditative discipline and learn skills to create clarity and tranquility as you merge with the breath. This process takes you deeper into the mind and will help you identify and understand the Ego. You will learn to let go of the past (regrets), detach from the future (worries) and be more present. Learn to manage stresses of daily life and maintain a balanced mental state.
